Tandoori chicken skewers

Ingredients:

For the spice:

  • 2 tbsp paprika powder
  • 1 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp ginger powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp cardamon powder
  • 1 tsp cinnanon powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp methi powder.

  • 500g chicken breast ( cut into pieces)
  • 2 tbsp yogurt
  • salt & pepper
  • 1 drop of red food coloring
  • Juice of one lemon
  • any veggies if you wish to add
  • Skewers
Steps:

1) Roast all the ingredients for the spice on high heat for about 1minute. Set aside.

2) Marinate the chicken with 2tbsp of the spice, salt and pepper, yogurt, lemon juice and food coloring for about 1hour.

3) Add your veggies in the same marinade.

4) Fill in your skewers as you wish

5) Line your baking tray with aluminium foil and grease a little bit with oil. Grill for about 30 minutes. Make sure to flip at intervals so that it is cooked on both sides.

Note: if you dont want to add food coloring, you can increase the amount of paprika so as to get the red colour of tandoori.

I've froze the rest of the skewers uncooked for later use.

Enjoy.
